A Quiet Place Here

Leave the tears where they have fallen.
They were never something to hide.
A rain-soaked sleeve, a quiet moment —
a storm that passed through, not one you had to fight.

The lights outside may glitter,
but you have seen their borrowed shine.
Real warmth comes from an old kitchen,
from a cup of coffee waiting,
from a chair that still remembers you.

No victory needs to be claimed,
no battle needs to be won.
There is only this:
dry your hands upon a towel,
take the time you need to breathe.

And when you return without answers,
when words are too heavy to say,
remember there is still a place for you here.
Not because you are strong,
not because you have overcome —
but simply because you belong.
